Perfect! Loved more of Max and Sara. Now I can not wait for Niall's book!

I have come to the conclusion that I am just not a big fan of this author's writing. This is the second book I've read by her that was just mediocre, and although it was enjoyable at times, I found myself skimming to get it finished. The beginning was fantastic and immediately had my attention, but by the halfway point, I was starting to get bored and wishing it was over. I think it's mostly the long winded and unnecessary explaining of everything. I like details, but too many just screams 'cheesy' to me, and there were a lot of times while reading this book that I rolled my eyes.

Once I hit the halfway point, it lost all of it's suspense factor, which made me lose interest immediately, not to mention it became completely predictable as well.

You win some, you lose some. I've learned this author just isn't for me and that's okay!

Loved Will and Hanna! Just a tad too angsty - all the misunderstandings got on my nerves a bit. Still a great book and looking forward to the next one!

MAX STELLA. Everyone who has read this book will understand that every reason this book was so perfect was because of Max Stella. I read a lot of books, a lot of erotica and romance. I also have a lot of favorite couples. Max & Sara definitely went to the top of my list and I'm kicking myself for not reading this book a lot sooner than I did!

Sara is rightfully hesitant to be in any kind of relationship after her previous one ended in such disappointment and heartbreak. She moves to New York City to start over and just wants to have fun and live a little. I loved Sara - she was bad ass! She was the perfect heroine, never once annoying me and completely relatable. One night at a club, she hooks up with Max, a total stranger, and has every intention of leaving it as just a one night stand. But Max has other things in mind.

Max is a well-known womanizer. Charming, gorgeous, smart, and did I mention British?! In all his encounters with women, he just hadn't met one that he felt he could connect with and that understood his desires and needs, until he meets Sara. Although they decide to continue their secret affair, feelings start to develop and they have to decide if they can both overcome their pasts in order to have a future together.

Oh how I loved Max Stella. The way he adored Sara and how incredibly sweet he was with her, but also so sexy and confident. He is definitely one of my favorite male characters ever.

This book was funny, steamy and just fantastic - I loved every minute of it!

I know I blather on constantly about my love of Colleen Hoover and how everyone should read her books. But, it’s not often that you find an author who’s writing is so unique, their stories so different from anything you will ever read, with every new book that is released. Not only that, but stories that shake you to your core and stay with you long after finishing. That is what Colleen’s books always do to me. And that is why I will never stop sharing my love for her and her writing.

I find it really difficult to put into words how fantastic this story is. And I don’t want to give away too many details with my review, because it’s absolutely better to go into this story completely unknowing of what you’re about to read.

Auburn is a very strong and incredible character. It’s not often that a book has reduced me to tears within the first few chapters, but my heart broke for her immediately. The pain from her past will affect her future immensely, as she tries to make a life for herself. Then, enter Owen, someone who will bring her back to life and make her feel things again. Owen is such a passionate and sweet guy. His immediate attraction to her may seem quick to a lot of people, but it worked for me. I immediately adored Auburn, so I could understand why he had such an intense connection to her from the minute they met - a need to know her and protect her.

As everything unfolds, many heart-stopping secrets and confessions will come to light. I was completely terrified of what would happen. I had fallen in love with both Auburn and Owen, feeling every emotion imaginable, all of their heartache and hope. And as is usually the case while reading a CoHo book, I didn’t want to ever put it down.

This book is full of tension, suspense, twists, heartbreak, but also humor and incredibly sweet and swoony moments. All elements I look for in a perfect read. The addition of all of the confessions that were included throughout the story just made it even more unique, another reason this book will stand out among any other book you'll ever read.

I can't wait to receive my paperback copy so that I can immediately re-read it and experience the artwork along with the story.

I'm finding it really difficult to express how much I loved this book, and to give it the proper review. This is absolutely one of the most beautiful books I've ever read.

A few years ago, I discovered the wonder that is Sylvain Reynard's writing when I began reading the [b:Gabriel's Inferno|10140661|Gabriel's Inferno (Gabriel's Inferno, #1)|Sylvain Reynard|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1362592359s/10140661.jpg|15038778] series. To this day, it is one of my favorite series, and possibly some of the most beautiful writing I've ever experienced. I was really excited, but admittedly a little hesitant, about this new series. My concerns were whether it would live up to my high expectations, because of my love of Gabriel.

Sylvain Reynard proved with this book, why he is and will always be one of my favorite authors. Not only was [b:The Raven|18965316|The Raven (The Florentine, #1)|Sylvain Reynard|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1401194448s/18965316.jpg|42264411] absolutely beautiful and brilliant, it blew all of my expectations out of the water. With flawless prose, this book was simply stunning, and I struggled with wanting to devour it in one sitting, and forcing myself to read slower, because I didn't want it to end.

I fell in love with both Raven and The Prince. Raven, though we don't know at first what kind of suffering she has endured in her life, you know immediately that she is a strong, independent woman. But she's also extremely compassionate and has a heart of gold, which is so endearing. And The Prince - I loved his take charge, bad ass attitude. But more than that, I loved how romantic and soft he could be with Raven. His need to protect her and win her over was so sweet, and I fell in love with every word that came out of his mouth. This was probably one of the most romantic books I have ever read, full of incredible sexual tension, but also many sweet and tender moments that had me swooning non-stop.

The Prince is ruler of the Florence underworld and with that comes great responsibility, but also great risk. He's secretive because he has to be to survive. Past demons haunt him daily and prevent him from the thought of getting close to anyone, or ever wanting to. Until the moment he decides to save Raven and he feels an unexpected connection to her. Wanting to keep her safe, he finds himself drawn to her more and more, feeling things he hasn't felt in a very long time.

There is so much suspense between what is going on with the underworld and the relationship between The Prince and Raven that I couldn't put the book down. I was drawn in by SR's gorgeous writing and found myself immersed in a new beautiful world, one I never wanted to leave. SR also takes his love of art and Italy to a whole new level in this novel, which makes the book even more fantastic.

What you get when you read a Sylvain Reynard novel is impeccable writing and a beautiful story that will stay with you forever. I fell completely in love with The Prince, and loved every single page of this book from beginning to end. A perfect combination of romance and paranormal suspense, this book is a must read.

3.5 stars. Took me until well over the halfway point before I warmed up to Tressa. Trent saved the book for me.

I've really enjoyed this series - the first book in the series, [b:No Attachments|17667168|No Attachments (Woodfalls Girls, #1)|Tiffany King|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1383350638s/17667168.jpg|24661958], is one of my favorite NA books ever. This final installment in the Woodfalls Girls series was a fun, quick read.

Tressa is a major party girl. She's known for being wild, wreaking havoc every where she goes, even from a young age. She spends her weekends with her roommates jumping from frat party to frat party, basically refusing to grow up.

Trent is a computer genius, who happens to be really hot, but hides behind his geeky glasses and nerdy demeanor. He's attending the same college as Tressa for his masters program, and has harbored feelings for her ever since high school, where they both attended in Woodfalls.

Tressa's partying lifestyle finally catches up with her when her grades take a nose-dive and she needs Trent's help before she gets kicked out of school.

I'm going to be honest and say I disliked Tressa for the first 50% of the book. She was bitchy and her constant name calling almost made me give up on the book. She eventually grew on me, and it helped that I became completely smitten with Trent and how sweet and adorable he was.

As they spend more and more time together, Tressa starts to see Trent in a new light. But she struggles with the fact that she's not good enough for him and may never be.

Even though Tressa grated on my nerves in the beginning, the relationship and slow building romance between her and Trent made it worth reading. A good mix of steamy and sweet, I enjoyed Trent and Tressa's story and the fact that it had minimal angst!

What a hell of a ride. You are thrown into the unknown and left completely confused and wanting more. And I loved it! The suspense of not knowing what is really going on is what kept me glued to my Kindle.

As I've mentioned numerous times, I'm a huge fan of Colleen Hoover. I'd even have to say she's my favorite author ever. I have enjoyed most of Tarryn Fisher's books, although she is known to be kinda dark with her stories. That’s why I was nervous about them teaming up. CoHo books usually have happier endings, and I wasn’t sure how that would work with Fisher’s style.

I love all of the little clues playing out and the discoveries along the way. This is the best kind of suspense! The fact that I’m totally clueless makes my reading experience even better. I’m not one who enjoys figuring out the conclusion before the big reveal – that ruins a book for me. This was so well written, even for such a short amount of pages. It packed a serious punch!

As for the characters - it was easy to immediately like Silas, and I'm still warming up to Charlie. I think I will like her more once I get a better understanding of what is happening to them.

There's no doubt you will finish the book completely confused and thinking, 'WTF!?', but I think it's worth every minute. For me, personally, it was better not to dwell on possible scenarios or conclusions - just get comfortable and enjoy the ride!

Once again, Colleen Hoover has proven she is the queen of unique story telling. I can't wait for Part Two in May!

I'm a big fan of Samantha Young's On Dublin Street series and was pretty excited she had a new stand alone book coming out. So many books these days are part of a series and it's nice to be able to look forward to a book knowing it won't end in a wicked cliffhanger. I started reading this one with zero expectations, and it ended up blowing me away. I couldn't put it down. It was the perfect blend of humor, suspense, romance, steam - everything I love in a book! I was surprised how quickly the book sucked me in, and I devoured it in a few days because I was loving it so much.

There wasn't one thing I disliked about this book. It was fast-paced. I loved both main protagonists. I loved the supporting characters. The sexy times were some of the best ever. The shocking revelations at the end had me on the edge of my seat. And no cliffhanger!

In addition to all of that, I adored Caine and Alexa together. From them fighting their feelings, to finally giving in to them, to the drama that ensued afterwards. It was very unpredictable to me and made me desperate to pick it up any chance I got. I absolutely loved every minute reading this book! If you're looking for a suspenseful romance with a sexy billionaire and a bad ass heroine - I highly recommend this one!

By far the most heart breaking and one of the hardest books emotionally that I have ever read. It has been a long time since I've cried so much reading a book. Even though it's tough to stomach, it was a really incredible story that I know will stay with me for a very long time.

After sleeping on this, I haven't stopped thinking about it and had to bump it up to 5 stars, with a proper review.

I like a good cry once in awhile. What I wasn’t expecting was the sob fest I would get while reading this incredible book. It has been a long time since a book has brought me to so many tears, and I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. Just that this book was heartbreaking and at times very difficult to read because of the subject matter. Most of all it was a complete eye opener for me.

I have never been a fan of historical fiction. But having read almost all of Hannah’s books, including Winter Garden, which was historical and I loved it, I decided to give this book a try.

History was my least favorite subject in school, and I retained very little information about the Holocaust and the Nazi’s, other than obviously how completely awful it was. Clearly Hannah did a lot of research for this novel because, even though it’s a work of fiction, it felt so true to life and it completely devastated me. The horror people went through during those times is unfathomable to me. And I lived it through the eyes of these two sisters. It broke my heart over and over again. So much that I can’t stop thinking about the book still today.

The book starts in 1995 from the POV of an older woman who’s son is about to put her in an assisted living facility, then it takes you to France in the 1940’s. As this woman is reminiscing about her life during WWII, you don’t know who she is until the very end of the book, and that was brilliant on Hannah’s part.

Although the flashbacks to France and the war are incredibly difficult to read, I couldn’t put the book down because I had to know who the woman was at the end. And I needed to know what happened to these two sisters in the story, more than I needed sleep last night. Seeing the war through their eyes was unlike anything I’ve ever read before. Hannah’s prose is beautiful, her writing flawless. I have always loved her novels and have rarely read one without crying, but this book was by far the most emotional novel I’ve ever read. Beautiful and tragic at the same time, this book will stay with me for a very long time.

If you are a fan of historical fiction, this is a must read. If you haven’t read Kristin Hannah, I recommend you add her to your list immediately! Just make sure you have a box of tissues close by. And trust me, every single book of hers is worth all the tears!

This one is just not doing it for me like the first two books in the series.

I love this series

I really enjoyed this story. Perfect for the holidays. Leaves you with all the warm fuzzies when you've finished it.

If you're looking for the perfect novella to get you into the holiday spirit, look no further. This little gem packed a punch in a very short amount of time.

Sam has returned from the war a broken woman. She lost her best friend in the line of duty and when she returns to her boyfriend, Patrick, who's also in the Army, and her daughter, she is void of all emotion and feeling. She has completely shut down and refuses to deal with it, by admitting she needs help. Instead, her solution is to pick up her daughter and move back to her hometown in Maine.

This seems rash, but learning of Sam's fears of abandonment helped me understand what she was going through. Not only was she abandoned my her father and the father of her daughter, she has seen the ugliness of war, and no one returns from that the same person. I can't even begin to understand or fathom what that is like. And Jessica Scott does a fantastic job of making you understand those feelings and emotions.

Patrick, when he could have just let her walk away because they were never married, nor was Natalie his biological child, refused to give up. He loves Sam and knew she was hurting. He knew she was burying her issues instead of dealing with them, and wanting to help her, he surprises her by flying to Maine.

A beautiful relationship-in-crisis novella full of emotion and a very realistic situation. My heart hurt for Sam and Patrick. I felt pain for what she was going through emotionally. And my heart broke for Patrick as he faced his biggest fear - possibly losing the woman and daughter he loves more than anything.

I LOVE reading stories like this! Patrick was a dream. Every woman wants a man who is willing to fight for them, and he wasn't going to walk away easily. I'm so glad the back and forth between him and Sam didn't drag on unnecessarily. They have a beautiful relationship that came alive in such a short amount of pages.

Loved it. I know a lot of people are bitter about the fact that the author is dragging this series out, but I love every minute of it. Review to come.
